MMA Fighting has Canelo vs. Charlo results live for the Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo fight card on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

Alvarez will put his undisputed super middleweight title on the line against undisputed junior middleweight champion Charlo in the the headliner.

Elijah Garcia vs. Armando Resendiz

Round 1: Here we go y’all. Main card is underway! Middleweights open the show for us. Lots of empty seats in the T-Mobile Arena right now. Veteran referee Tony Weeks is your third man in the ring. Garcia pops out his jab. Both men taking their time and using their lead hands to measure distance. Garcia is nonstop with that jab, just touch-touch-touching. Nice counter left from Garcia. Resendiz fires off a flurry. Garcia responds with an uppercut that snaps Resendiz’s head back. Huge straight left by Garcia puts Resendiz on wobbly legs!! He’s smelling blood now. Garcia smacks Resendiz a few more times but he survives to the bell. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Garcia.

Round 2: Resendiz comes out on a mission, throwing punches in bunches and trying to make up the gap after a shaky first round. Garcia is rolling with most of these. More shots from Resendiz, and he’s starting to find a home with some of these now. Oh, nasty hook from Resendiz. Garcia needs to get something going. Another machine-gun burst of punches from Resendiz. Big round for him. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Resendiz. (19-19 overall.)

Round 3: Now it’s Garcia who comes out with more urgency. He splits the guard of Resendiz and smacks him with a stiff left. Resendiz circles and paws out his jab. This is a gotdang fire-fight, y’all. Garcia swarms with a flurry of shots inside the pocket. Resendiz tries to fire back but eats a hard left-hand counter for his troubles. Nonetheless, Resendiz continues to stalk forward with his jab. Garcia is grinning, he’s having the time of his life in there. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Garcia. (29-28 Garcia.)

Round 4: Immediate collision in the center of the ring and we’re back at it. Resendiz is apparently averaging more than 100 punches thrown per round, and Garcia isn’t far behind. Garcia hangs back and cracks Resendiz with a counter left. That was nice. He’s picking his shots now. Hard right hand from Resendiz but Garcia responds with a slick flurry. Resendiz snaps Garcia’s head back with a jab. Stiff one-two lands for Garcia. Wild exchange from both men. Hell of a round. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Garcia. (39-37 Garcia.)

Round 5: Both men go right back to work. Resendiz staying active with his jab to the head and body, but Garcia seems to have his timing a bit more figured out. Garcia playing defense and cracking Resendiz with counters. Oh, big combination by Garcia! That was slick. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Garcia. (49-46 Garcia.)

Round 6: Resendiz’s jab is relentless, but Garcia’s defense is negating most of it. Garcia unloads a beautiful five-punch combination that cracks Resendiz something fierce. Resendiz answers with a combination that snaps Garcia’s head back. Those are his best shots in a while. Garcia is still sitting back and waiting on counters, and they’re money. Just gorgeous work with some of these. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Garcia. (59-55 Garcia.)

Round 7: It’s frankly impressive that Resendiz is taking some of these punches as well as he is. Garcia shells up and puts his jab in Resendiz’s face. Heck of a three-punch combination from Garcia. Garcia goes low then high, but Resendiz just keeps marching forward and winging looping hooks. One-two from Garcia. He smacks Resendiz with a left hand. Resendiz plants a stiff jab in Garcia’s face only to eat a big counter in return. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Garcia. (69-64 Garcia.)

Round 8: Resendiz comes out firing punches in bunches. Oh, nasty one-two comes back at him from Garcia. Huge body shot from Garcia!!! Resendiz crumbles to the canvas. That’s only the second time Resendiz has ever been dropped in his career. He makes the standing eight count, but Garcia is on him now. Garcia traps Resendiz in the corner and UNLOADS with punches! This is almost over! And that’s it, Weeks steps in to save Resendiz!!! Hell of a performance tonight by Garcia.
