Just a few days out from his big fight against Edgar Berlanga at the T-Mobile Arena, Canelo Alvarez has admitted that he would be open to a monumental boxing super fight against Conor McGregor.
Ahead of what is a big fight for Canelo Alvarez on Mexcian Independence Day weekend, the main talking point is that his event is going head to head with the monumental UFC 306 event at the Sphere.
Despite that, Canelo, Matchroom, and the UFC are all confident that both events can perform well alongside each other.

The huge UFC 306 event is headlined by arguably the UFC’s biggest current active star, Sean O’Malley, who believes the UFC event will largely outperform Canelo’s boxing event.
Someone who did put his name in the hat to headline the once-in-a-lifetime event at the Sphere was Conor McGregor. After his fight against Michael Chandler was canceled this past June, both fighters called for it to be re-booked to take place in the Sphere.
UFC CEO, Dana White, opted against that option though, and recently revealed that the McGregor will not return to action until early 2025.
