MMA Fighting has Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo live round-by-round updates for one of the most anticipated boxing fights of the year at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Canelo Alvarez (59-2-2) has won his last two fights by unanimous decision since losing to Dmitry Bivol more than a year ago. Alvarez last defeated John Ryder by points this past May.

Jermell Charlo (35-1-1) is 4-0-1 in his past five fights, most recently defeating Brian Castano via 10th-round knockout in his last outing in May 2022.

Canelo puts his undisputed super middleweight title on the line in the fight. Undisputed light middleweight champion Charlo jumps up two weight classes to face Canelo Alvarez.

The total opposite reaction for Canelo’s. The two champs touch ‘em up and we’re off! Charlo fires off first, pawing out his jab. Canelo spends the first minute circling and collecting data. Now business is picking up. Charlo lands to the body. Canelo answers with a right hand to the body of his own. Charlo wades inside and Canelo clinches. And again. Charlo triples up on his jab, only to eat a hard punch to the liver from Canelo. Thus far Canelo appears to be the far more powerful puncher. Canelo feigns a hard right hand.
